Age Limit

The upper age limit for all advertised posts is 50 years as on 02 February 2026. Age relaxation is available for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and eligible J&K domicile candidates as per Government of India rules.

Educational Qualification Rules

For post codes 01 to 05, the qualification must be obtained through a regular / full-time course only. For post codes 06 and 07, the qualification can be through regular / full-time / open and distance learning mode from a UGC-recognized university.

Experience Rules

Only full-time regular salary-based experience in the relevant field will be considered. MECON has also clarified that:

  • Freelance experience will not be counted
  • Entrepreneurial experience will not be counted
  • Articleship, internship, academic project, teaching, and research experience will not be counted
  • Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act may be considered, subject to valid proof

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹1,000 for General / OBC (NCL) / EWS candidates. SC / ST / PwD / Ex-Servicemen and internal candidates are exempted from the fee. The fee has to be paid online only and is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The stated mode of selection is Personal Interview of provisionally shortlisted candidates. MECON also reserves the right to change the mode of selection if required.

The shortlist for interview and the final list of selected candidates will be published on the official MECON website, and shortlisted candidates will also be informed through their registered email ID.

Travelling Allowance for Interview

Outstation candidates appearing for the interview will be reimbursed III Tier AC / Chair Car rail fare or ₹7 per kilometer by road, whichever is lower, subject to submission of valid travel proof.

Salary and Benefits

Selected candidates will be placed in E-0 pay scale of ₹30,000 – 3% – ₹1,20,000. In addition to basic pay and DA, they will be eligible for company benefits such as HRA or accommodation, perks and allowances, PRP, medical facilities, PF, gratuity, leave, GPA, NPS, and post-superannuation medical benefits as per company rules.

Place of Posting

Selected candidates may be posted at any project site, office, or location of the company as per requirement. Candidates willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
